Description: Provision of energy efficiency/ renewable energy equipment, which will be piloted on a residential building in Cairo, EgyptThe pilot building is a residential building located in Beverly Hills - 229. The building developer is theEmirates Realestate Development represented by Mr. Amre Gapre. The pilot site project is in Sheikh Zayed City, Al Sheikh Zayed, Giza Governorate, Egypt. It is a residential building composed of 18 apartments on 6 floors (basement plus five floors). Each apartment is designed for five to six people. Each apartment is composed of 3 bedrooms and 1 living room.UNEP will support the procurement of specific technical equipment, to render it more energy efficient and promote the use of renewable energy technologies, as well as monitoring equipment to prepare a detailed evaluation of the building-s performance.
