- The Scope of Works for this Contract has two Sections. Works Section 1 contains: (i) to design and construct the substantial in-situ wastewater plant of capacity 20,000 m3/d. A number of elements of the Stage 1 will be sized to facilitate the expansion of the WWTP to treat the Stage 2 and Stage 3 design capacity of 40,000 and 80,000 m3/d. Furthermore, certain treatment units and buildings shall be designed and constructed considering both the existing plants and the new plant capacity, (ii) to provide Operation and Maintenance Training for the Employer-s Staff and supervise the operation and maintenance of the WWTP during the Defects Notification Period. Works to be carried out within Section 2 is to hydraulically upgrade the existing Old Kohafa WWTP from 60,000 to 90,000 m3/d, in addition to limited rehabilitation and construction for certain units. For Works Section 1, the Contractor shall start construction phase after taking over of Works Section 1 works and complete the upgrading
