Description:
The second-generation NAP priorities are based on the ILO's strategic objectives: adherence to fundamental principles and rights at work, provision of social protection and social security, the promotion of social dialogue and tripartism and the promotion of employment. These pillars aid in defining the priorities and targets within the national development frameworks and aim to address decent work deficits.The second-generation NAP needs to be aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the United Nations Sustainable Development Framework (UNSDCF), the National Development Plan, and other relevant National Plans or Strategies. As well as with the ILO CL Framework for Action on Child Labour (2023-2025), the Durban Call to Action on the Elimination of Child Labour (2022), SADC Code of Conduct on child labour on Accelerating Action to Eradicate Child Labour in SADC, the AU Ten Year Action Plan on the Eradication of Child Labour, Forced Labour, Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Frameworks and other national, regional, and global development frameworks.
