- Tenders are invited for Consultancy a National Beekeeper Consultant to Supporting Beekeeping Project National Beekeeper Consultant to Supporting Beekeeping Project at Wadi El Gemal National Park Scope of work Technical support • Theoretical and practical trainings for groups of 20 beekeepers, identify clearly the main contents to be covered in the theoretical and practical exercises; • A theoretical and practical presentation on traditional and modern, low-cost beehives, techniques and recommendations for bee pastures; • Increasing the apiary by making use of local bee swarms or fortifying from other apiaries; Increasing stagnation and ways to control it; • Training on methods of selection to root the largest possible number of genes of the local bee breed Lamarkii (since the selection needs multiple seasons ranging from three to five years) and continuity after the aforementioned selection period in order to maintain the efforts that will be made and the consultant undertakes to follow up on this point especially without Other points in the ways that will be agreed upon with the concerned authorities responsible for following up and sustaining the election after the end of the project and making a seasonal report on a regular basis; • Follow-up, sterilization of hives, follow-up of bee health, pests and their prevention, nutrition, transfer of cells, assessment of strength, multiplication and division of beehives and dispersal; • Training on quality improvement, natural filtration, packaging, hygiene and storage; • Supporting all field activities of the project during the term of the contract, including: theoretical and practical training if the beekeepers had the opportunity on ways to house wild flocks, installing bait boxes, maintaining apiaries and processing honey in the honey house. • Submit monthly and periodic reports on the state of the apiaries and progress of the trainees
