IFC is keen to learn more about the structure and organization of the sector; the main players and products; strengths and weaknesses of the destination; and the direction of sustainable development going forward. Egypt-s rich cultural heritage and distinctively bestowed touristic endowments lay out a solid premise for a high relative competitive advantage in terms of the economies of scale available for transforming the nation into a touristic industrial pioneer. With a diversified tourism offering; it is important to map out key sector players and potential IFC investment opportunities and tackle bottlenecks that are holding back Egypt-s tourism sector from reaching its full potential. Building on the sector-s investment potential; IFC is seeking opportunities to invest in the tourism sector as a foreign currency generating sector.The objective of this assignment is to map out the key players and potential clients for IFC and private sector investment; as well as provide an overview on the opportunities and limitations facing the Tourism sector in Egypt.
