- Expression of Interest are invited for Egypt Seawater Desalination Plants - Environmental and Social Technical Support. Publication Date: 05-Sep-2022 Expression of Interest Deadline: 13-Sep-2022 ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: - The International Finance Corporation ("IFC") and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ("EBRD") are jointly supporting the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (the Client) acting on behalf of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities & Urban Communities, as joint lead advisor for the first transaction under the government of Egypt's desalination program. As part of their role as lead advisor, IFC and EBRD are hiring a team of technical, environmental & social (E&S), and legal consultants to provide specialized inputs for the project. The E&S consultant will support IFC and the Client to scope E&S issues affecting the Projects, with reference to the IFCs Performance Standards (IFC PSs), the WBG EHS Guidelines, and GIIP in order to support the development of the Projects (design, construction, operation, and decommissioning phases) in compliance with these requirements.
